The Pla de Mallorca is made up of fourteen municipalities (Algaida, Ariany, Costitx, Lloret de Vistalegre, Llubí, Maria de la Salut, Montuïri, Petra, Porreres, Santa Eugènia, Sant Joan, Sencelles, Sineu and Vilafranca de Bonany) that have two common factors: geography and agriculture.
The region is located in the central area of Mallorca, in a depression limited by the Serra de Tramontana and the Serra de Llevant. Despite its name, it is not a precisely flat landscape. There are different mountains (Randa, Bonany, Montisión) that offer fantastic panoramic views.
Agriculture is the other factor in common that they present. They are cultivated, above all, cereals, non-citrus fruit trees (almond trees, carob trees, ...) and forages.
